Chronic fatigue syndrome therapy

What is chronic fatigue syndrome?

Chronic fatigue syndrome, also known as myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME), is a diagnosis to describe extreme fatigue that lasts at least 6 months, often accompanied by widespread muscle and joint pain, mood disorder, and sleep disruption.

Treatment for chronic fatigue syndrome

A whole-body approach must be considered when treating pain or dysfunction associated with chronic fatigue syndrome. The assessment uncovers myofascial tension and body alignment, the patient’s body awareness, and the function of the autonomic nervous system. In addition to gentle hands-on treatment, patients will be instructed on exercises to restore tissue balance and self-regulate their nervous system.
